Restore Balance, Resilience, and Connection with Integrative Counseling

My name is Rebecka Casto.  I am a Somatic Psychotherapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor.   My approach is integrative (body, mind, spirit), and attachment-based (relationship-based).  I have been assisting and supporting children, adolescents, and adults in individual and group settings for over fifteen years.  Through deep listening, accepting compassion, and attunement to the body’s nervous system, I help clients discover wisdom from within, facilitating healing and the creation of balance, union, and resilience in their lives. Merging Western psychology and Eastern philosophy, I draw from extensive resources to customize healing for clients’ unique needs.  I offer a deep and expansive container in which it is safe and comforting for all ages to open and share that which wants to be heard, felt, understood, and healed.

I am passionate about helping clients remember their strength, self-love, and resilience.  A session with me will likely include a combination of the following: mindfulness practices, somatic (body/nervous system) therapies, attachment work, insight-oriented therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, guided imagery, and art therapy.  Clients leave my office with tools to support balance, resilience, and connection.

Healing from Trauma and Anxiety

I have training in Somatic Experiencing. Somatic Experiencing is a cutting-edge, dynamic way of working with the brain, body, and nervous system to help clients safely release and heal from different types of trauma. For more information on Somatic Experiencing please visit the Somatic Experiencing website at:  View Peter Levine, Somatic Experiencing’s founder explaining how Somatic Experiencing works:

I also have training in Dynamic Attachment Re-patterning experience (DARe), founded by Diane Poole Heller, which helps clients identify and heal from challenging relational patterns.
