Hello! I’m Grace, a certified health and wellness coach with a deep-rooted passion for holistic health that dates back to my high school days. I grew up around Billings, MT and am someone you can usually find outside gardening, walking, hiking, or sitting and taking in the great Montana views.

Home cooking and baking have always been a passion of mine, and I find joy in creating delicious meals and treats using healthier ingredients to share with friends and family.

I truly believe in the healing power of food, and I’ve seen firsthand how whole foods, emotional well-being, restorative movement, and a supportive community contribute to overall wellness. My own health journey began when I implemented Pilates into my weekly routine to relieve back pain, which led me to discover the incredible impact of food on my digestion and a newfound energy. My experience fueled my passion for helping others on their own health path. Through health coaching, I’ve learned that meeting clients where they are and guiding them in taking small, purposeful steps leads to lasting changes that truly transform lives.

I’m thrilled to be apart of the Spring team and look forward to connecting with you on this journey toward better health!

Fun facts about me:

-I adopted my black German Shepherd mix, Bear, in 2022. He is the cuddliest love.

-Walking Bear, hiking, a good workout, traveling, and gardening are some of my favorite hobbies. Being outside gives me so much life!

-I’ve dreamed of living in Bozeman again since I graduated college in 2014 and I finally made the move back in November 2024.

-My absolute favorite place I’ve visited is Costa Rica. The food is amazing, fresh, and delicious. The beaches and rainforest are so beautiful, and you can’t beat a Costa Rican sunset!

Why did I become a Naturopathic Doctor?

Naturopathic medicine holds a profound place in my heart. It has been an integral part of my
life since childhood, a gift from my mother that I did not fully appreciate. Little did I know, her
actions were paving the way for adeep love fora medicine that would profoundly alter the

course of my life.

Growing up, my mom would give my brother and myself “herbs” to help us with whatever

ailment. Of course, we didn’t care to take them because it was a bunch of pills. But her doing
this in our childhood helped lay the way for me as a teenager. I was the stereotypical teenager
who hated everything about life, including myself. Iself-medicated in many different ways to

deal with what little I understood about myself and how I was feeling. This part of my life was
rather hard on the people around me. Still, my mom was very aware of my potentially

damaging life path. She decided to take action and had me see her naturopathic doctor. With
herbal medicine and therapy, I was able to work through what I was going through. This
experience not only prevented me from either living a short life or one that would be
completely different from the one I am leading now.

My teenage years, marked by self-discovery and resilience, have revealed the transformative
power of natural medicine. Fueled by this realization, I embarked on a journey of self-education

about herbal medicine and the healing properties of food. With a fire of passion burningwithin

me, I embarked on becoming a naturopathic doctor.

Conditions I love to treat:

 Hormone balancing
 Women’s Health
 Pediatrics
 Thyroid conditions
 Metabolic conditions
 Nutrition education

Things you may not know about me:

 I have a deep love for traveling
 I enjoy being physically active and love pushing myself to see what I can do.
 Outdoor activities such as fishing, floating the river, and hiking rejuvenate my soul.
 To end the day, a bubble bath and a good book are all I need.

Why did I become a regenerative doctor?

The most influential person on my journey to Naturopathic Medicine was my mother. I admire her compassion for others and research into alternative medicine which helped shape my personal journey. She influenced me with her curiosity for natural remedies as well as utilizing knowledge from her handy herbal book before taking me and my sisters to allopathic doctors. During college, I found my interest in psychology and whole-person healing. I began to understand the therapeutic “one on one” relationship could really address a multitude of concerns. I then shifted my internal focus from biology to health psychology and ultimately Naturopathic Medicine which I was introduced to during my undergraduate education.

I have had an interest in dermatology and naturopathic aesthetics since graduating from Bastyr University. I managed the spa at Yellowstone Naturopathic Clinic during part of my residency and it was during residency that it became a passion for me. I am amazed at the inherent healing ability of the body and this reinforced my choice to investigate natural treatments for aesthetics. It was accelerated by the recognition that the realm of natural-based cosmetics and techniques was underexplored in the naturopathic field. I have since integrated facial PRP, micro-needling, and natural peels into my practice and found that they are highly effective.

In clinical practice, I treat a multitude of skin concerns as well as joint injuries and pain. I love seeing the decrease in pain and increase in range of motion which results in clients being able to pursue their passion. Movement truly is medicine, and my motivation to share this work is seeing people in less pain and more joyful about being in their body.

Conditions I love to treat:

Acne

Osteoarthritis

Joint/Ligament Injuries

Visible signs of skin aging/sun damage

Things you may not know about me:

I have a love for the outdoors that includes rock climbing, paddle-boarding and hiking

I have a two-year-old son

During medical school, I was a doula (labor/birth support)

Why did I become a doctor?

I have always had a natural curiosity to understand the world around me and my place within it. It is for this reason I find incredible joy in working with young children and their families. To see the world through a child’s eye is like opening your eyes for the very first time, finding yourself in complete awe of the beauty and magic in front of you. It is this magic that brought me to naturopathic medicine.

Prior to my career as a Naturopathic Physician, I worked closely with families as a nanny and preschool teacher. This experience enabled me to pursue a passion for childhood development and to closely examine the communal and family dynamic as a key component in human health. I deeply believe the health of our communities, as well as our planet, is dependent upon the wellbeing of individuals. This journey of health begins in the womb and continues through infancy, childhood, adolescence and into adulthood.

My clinical practice is guided by my knowledge and passion for pediatrics, family medicine and mental health. I am known for my gentle approach and ability to connect with patients of all ages, while providing safe and effective medical care. I routinely call upon the use of nutrition and lifestyle counseling, play, botanical medicine, hydrotherapy, craniosacral therapy and mind-body medicine techniques such as mindfulness and biofeedback in order to restore health and optimize wellness. I see my role as an educator and guide as I join my patients on their unique journeys towards a vibrant and fulfilling life.

Why did I become a doctor?

Ever since I was five years old I wanted to be a doctor. I named my favorite doll after my pediatrician, Dr. Joan. Joan and I would play with toy bottles and potions; we would administer dried leaves, grass, and berries collected from the yard to the other stuffed animals and dolls in our “clinic.” My mother noticed my interests and began teaching me the names of wild plants and herbs; she taught me what was safe for eating and what was poisonous. Growing up in eastern Montana, we would hike along rivers and in the mountains to collect and press flowers and plants. I loved being in nature and knowing the secrets of the wild flora.

During college, I struggled with my own health. I found myself depressed, getting sick frequently, and having hormonal problems. Wanting more knowledge on natural therapies, I took a job at a local health food store during college. There I learned the basics of about vitamins, herbs, and nutrition and made small changes to my diet and lifestyle that greatly improved my health! I fell in love with “natural” therapies and knew my future would somehow incorporate modern medical science and Mother Nature’s medicine cabinet.

After college, I knew I needed some Real World work experience. I had finished a post-graduate internship for Medical technology (as a medical lab technician) and was still unsure if I would follow the conventional or naturopathic medical path. My husband and I moved to Portland, Oregon where there are both types of medical schools. There I worked as a licensed Medical Technologist for seven years in an oncology clinic. This gave me such a great experience of working directly with cancer patients and their physicians. It was inspiring to see science save lives. However, one question consistently nagged at me…what if we could PREVENT people from getting cancer in the first place?

This question and the subsequent realization that my path was to prevent people from getting sick lead me to National University of Natural Medicine, a naturopathic medical school. It took me five years and the birth of my first child to complete medical school. There I learned how to prescribe conventional medication and administer alternative/complementary therapies. This was what I had been looking for all along!

My passion for learning lead me to focus in Women’s Health, Hormone Balancing, Endocrinology and Functional Medicine. While in medical school I also was drawn to the ancient wisdom of Ayurvedic medicine and did many extracurricular studies to help balance the energetics of the body.

In 2012 our family had the opportunity to return to our home of Montana. We were so excited to be closer to friends and family. I was inspired to open Spring Integrative Health to help bridge the gap between conventional and naturopathic medicine. I truly believe that all forms of medicine have valuable tools to help one improve their health. This is why I create lasting connections with medical doctors on my patients behalf and create a community at Spring Integrative Health to offer many types of therapies.

On my time off, I enjoy playing in the beautiful Montana outdoors with my sons and husband.

I look forward to joining you on your journey to health and vitality.

Why I became a doctor?

I have always felt like naturopathic medicine chose me. Through a series of steps that one can only describe as fate, I happened upon a career that beautifully incorporated my love of nature with medicine. When I first discovered naturopathic medicine, I was immediately hooked on the philosophies behind the practice – it made so much sense to me; the healing power of nature, prevention, doctor as teacher, first do no harm, treat the whole person and identify and treat the cause. When it came to patient care, why not work with the tested and true wisdom of nature, preventing disease as well as seeing and addressing the whole person in front of you – body, mind and spirit?

I knew from a young age that I was destined to be a healer.

As a child, I was diagnosed with lymphoma and experienced firsthand the challenges and triumphs that accompanies a cancer diagnosis. I wanted to help others just like my oncologist had helped me, and I dedicated my life’s work to pursuing medicine and accomplishing that goal. Throughout my medical career, I have witnessed firsthand the powerful effects of combining naturopathic and conventional care for my patients who have been given the diagnosis of cancer. I share a kinship with my patients, in that I truly and deeply understand what they are experiencing on their cancer journey. I respect and value the integrative health care model, and have a particular interest in the study of evidence-based research in correlation to integrative oncology treatments. I strongly believe that treating the whole person rather than the sum of their symptoms can immensely benefit anyone who is searching for a way to address their health care needs.
