Born and raised in the beautiful Gallatin Valley, Alyssa was fortunate to grow up in such a
wonderful and unique place. During her undergraduate education she attended a year of college in Hawaii,
where she learned to surf and earned her advanced scuba certification. Alyssa has traveled and lived
in a variety of places including Oregon, Minnesota, Florida, and New Zealand then returning to Bozeman in 2012.
As a Speech Language Pathologist and Certified Lactation Counselor, Alyssa’s extensive
education and experience with preemies, newborns, and toddlers gives her the ability to support
families experiencing a multitude of feeding problems. She aids families and children who have
complex feeding issues including those with feeding tubes, oral aversions, difficulties
transitioning to solids, and swallowing disorders. Alyssa works closely with
midwives, doulas and other perinatal professionals in the community.
Alyssa also loves working in early intervention. She helps children struggling to produce specific
sounds, first words, putting words together, and understanding language. Her goal is to help
these little ones improve their ability to communicate.
Trained in orofacial myology, Alyssa has assisted both children and adults to improve oral
function for breathing, sleep, swallowing, eating and articulation. She works with local dentists
and other providers around the state to help improve a patient’s proper oral function.
Alyssa has two boys and a young black lab/pitbull mix, that keeps her very busy. She enjoys the
outdoors with her family, camping, hiking, biking, and snowboarding. She would love to learn
how to flyfish and continue her love of photography. Alyssa is very grateful for her family and a
career that she truly loves.
